Haitian-born artist Ned Hammar has scrubbed dairy barns, bucked hay bales, guided whitewater river trips, built a free-standing stone wall, synthesized a new molecule, choreographed a dance involving cardboard refrigerator boxes, served in the Peace Corps in South Africa, canvassed door-to-door for the Sierra Club, crunched numbers for the CDC, juggled hula hoops and walked on stilts (not yet at the same time), and is the author of the children's book Early One Morning.
